Beagling #2

Today I found a girlfriend!

Her name was Lily and she was beautiful! She had a white spot on her bum like me, when we stood side by side they touched! She was a lot littler than me so I had to be very careful when I was playing with her, so I rolled over on my back a lot and let her win. Mum says I'm a gentledoggy. She says I'm a softy too.

My best friend Benji didn't seem very happy that I was spending time with Lily. But I went back and made it up to him once she'd left the dog park. I couldn't ignore a beautiful canine like her!

Oh I hope I see her again soon! Mummy kept pointing her silly screen at me and her, I don't know what she was doing but she was laughing a lot. I think she liked Lily too. Maybe she can come over for a playdate soon!

Gentle Waves Baby Blanket

Found this beautiful Crochet Baby Blanket while scrolling through Twitter the other day and thought that I would share it with you guys! This is another crochet pattern for you guys, I'm hoping to find some knitted patterns for you all at a later date so keep an eye on them!

The yarn used for this specific blanket is called Caron Chunky Cakes! I personally think that the colours are beautiful and could be used for a range of different projects, so much so I may look in to buying some for my own work.

Review #3

Very British Baby Knits

I was very lucky to have been gifted this book to read and review by a good friend of mine. I also wanted to get some ideas for my own project. I was very excited to begin reading this book as I am also a secret fan of the Royal Family. The Knits do not disappoint and do have a certain royal theme about them. All are aptly named as such for example: Windsor.

The layout of the book is very clean cut and easy to read, there is a nice contrast between text and images so your eyes don't get too confused. Each page is the perfect mix between spacious and busy, the only problem I saw with some pages of the layout was the centring of some of the images, however a minor discrepancy.

The patterns themselves are easy to follow given that you have knowledge of reading and understanding patterns, if not I suggest doing some research and learning before purchasing as you may be at a loss otherwise. I myself needed some help at first as I was not well versed in reading patterns.

I came to be a little disappointed toward the end of the book, while it quotes 30 different knits, I felt as though many of them copied each other, they all ended up with a slightly different look in the end however at the same time where close to identical bar the colours used to present them in the images. Despite this I still felt the book was well made and effort had been put in to it's creation and would possibly buy from the author, Susan Campbell, again.

This book can be found on Amazon.co.uk for the RPG of £9.99, or £7.79 for Kindle users. Link found below.

The story of Harvey.

Hello People & Puppies!

Mummy said it would be a good idea to tell you all about me for my first post! I am a perfectly well behaved pup, I do everything my mummy tells me too and I'm never in trouble. My favourite thing to do is play. Play with other doggies, play with people, I don't really like playing by myself though. Don't tell mummy but I love getting muddy on walks and drinking river water, it tastes nicer than the stuff at home! I sleep in my den at night but sometimes I have to cry for my mummy because I feel a little lonely, she doesn't like me being lonely either because she's always upset when she comes in and sits with me until I fall asleep.

I had one brother called Oreo, and one sister called Bella. I haven't seen them since I went home with my new mummy. But I have seen my beagle mummy and beagle daddy! Mummy took me on a trip back to where I was born and I got to see them again and play with them in a big field! I met my older half brothers and sisters too, and aunties and uncles! I have a very big doggy family.

I have lots of beagle friends where I live with mummy too! My best friend is Benji. Then there is Teddy, Beans, Betty, Lily, Jonesy, Gary, Holly, Poppy, Winston and Bella. There are even more but I've forgotten their names. Whoops. I'm sure mummy will remember. My favourite human people are Mummy, Dad, Mum, both Granddads as well as Susan and Ryan, Benji's mum and human brother! There are a couple of big dogs that are a little nasty... Mummy protects me from them so I don't get scared of them.

Now you know all about me! Next time I will tell you about some of the adventures I've been on!
Bye-Bye!

Marriner Yarn

As I have recently got back in to knitting I was looking for a pack of different coloured yarn which I would be able to practice and develop with. I came across Marriner while scrolling through Amazon, they had a large range of yarns of all different sizes. I came across this starter pack and believed it would be perfect for what I wanted to use the yarn for. I also didn't want to spend an excessive amount of money on yarn that I wouldn't be creating projects out of, this pack of 20 25g yarns came in at £10.95, which I believe to be a pretty good deal.

Not only that but the quality of the yarn when it arrived exceeded my expectations. It has a nice fluffy texture and slight spring, perfect for those beginning to get in to knitting. The package arrived earlier than I had expected it and was protected with a sealed plastic coating to ensure non of the yarn was torn or damaged on route. The colours of said yarn where practically the same as they had been presented on the advertisement, and all but a couple I believe would be useful in some pattern or project. This is not including the neon orange ball.

Marriner seems to have a good verity of yarns on their Amazon page and I would definitely look at buying from them again. The only thing that they seem to lack is more specialist yarn such as wool, alpaca and bamboo. But for a beginner to knitting or crochet they have a wide range available. RPG: £10.95.

Crochet Stitch Markers

First Larger Crochet Diva Stitch Marker was bought for a friend as part of a thank you gift. Item comes exactly as seen in pictures, it is larger than expected and can be used as a keyring or crochet stitch marker, the pendant itself is approximately the size of a 1p coin. Even comes with a free gift! This one happened to be a smaller stitch marker in the shape of buttons which my friend also adored. Comes in a beautiful little package again as seen in pictures. Would definitely purchase from this seller again. RPG: £5.49.

The second set is a group of stitch markers, five in total. Beautiful little charms that functioned perfectly even if they where a little smaller than I had originally intended. I'd say they would be a brilliant gift for somebody who loves to crochet. The detailing on the little charms are very delicate and cute, I also believe that they are a good value for money. RPG: £7.49.
